On wavelets related to the Walsh series Original Research Article

For any integers p,n≥2p,n≥2 necessary and sufficient conditions are given for scaling filters with pnpn many terms to generate a pp-multiresolution analysis in L2(R+)L2(R+). A method for constructing orthogonal compactly supported pp-wavelets on R+R+ is described. Also, an adaptive pp-wavelet approximation in L2(R+)L2(R+) is considered.
