Abstract :
We study one-dimensional Ginzburg–Landau models of superconductivity with normal conductors on the sides of the interval occupied by the superconductor materials. The most interesting features of these problems are pinning phenomena analogous to those of vortex for higher-dimensional problems. We investigate behaviors of the minimizers as the Ginzburg–Landau parameter tends to infinity and prove that, with pinning on one side, the minimizers tend to an asymmetric limit, while, with pinning symmetrically on both sides, the minimizers tend to a symmetric limit.
