The extremal separation of two sets: 1. General results Original Research Article

We have considered the extremal problem related to the separation of two sets–supports for two measures defined in a linear normed space. Applications of these results obtained here may be addressed to numerical methods of classification problems. The theorems of existence of the solution and necessary condition have been represented in the paper.
