Abstract :
Objective: The present study aims to examine emotional and cognitive schemas in depressed and non-depressed students. Method: The present study is a retrospectively. The study population consisted of 208 university students. The participants were selected randomly. To review the results of the Beck Depression Questionnaire, Young Schema, Leahy Schema of statistical tests Mann-Whitney U, t-dependent, linear regression, t-independent, Pearson correlation were used in software SPSS 21.Being interested in the field of study and gender affects depression and there is a difference between cognitive and emotional schemas in depressed and non-depressed students and cognitive schemas can predict emotional schemas. Also, emotional and cognitive schemas can provide a pattern to explain depression.
