Abstract :
This research study assesses empirically the impact of corporate culture on employee job
performance as well as organizational productivity using private companies in saurastra region. I
tried to ascertain organizational culture affects employee job performance, and to formulate
recommendations regarding corporate culture and employee job performance. In order to achieve
the above objectives, the following research questions were asked: Does organizational culture
have any effect on employee job performance? And in what way does corporate culture impacts
employee job performance? Two hypotheses were advanced: (i) There is no positive relationship
between organizational culture and employee job performance, and (ii) There is no positive
relationship between organizational culture and organizational productivity in selected private
companies in saurastra region. The study uses survey research method. The study of companies
was selected using convenience sampling techniques through questionnaire. These findings
ended to accept our two alternative hypotheses and reject the null hypotheses because in both
cases the calculated values of chi-square are greater than the tabulated values. That shows that
there is no positive relation between organization culture and productivity as well as
performance of employees in selected companies
