Abstract :
We study the interface of a recently introduced multilayer contact process. In this model the mean value of the height of its interface depends on time t and on parameter p related with evaporation and deposition of particles (0 p 1). For reaches finite non trivial values in the steady-state regime. The system exhibit a reversible transition at p1c and an irreversible transition between active and absorbing states at p2c. We analyze: (i) the steady-state regime computing the height–height correlation function C(l) as a function of the distance l between two points, and (ii) the dynamic of the interface in the transient regime computing the interface width w(t) as a function of time t. From scaling analysis it is found: (i) in the limit p→p2c−, C(l) lα, α=0.075±0.005 for l lc, where lc (lc (p2c−p)− , 0.5) is the crossover lengh, and (ii) a good approximation for w(t) for p p1c. For p=p2c w(t) diverges as t1/2.
