Diagrams for bosonic operators

This paper presents a diagrammatic method for the evaluation of bosonic observables. For a given product of creation and annihilation operators we draw a diagram which contains all its physically relevant information. From this diagram we create a polynomial and show that the various orderings of the bosonic operators can be mapped to the various ways of writing the polynomial. These properties can be used to order products of bosonic operators.
