New aspects of the Davies weak coupling theory of quantum relaxation

Two new aspects of the Davies theory of time development of open quantum systems are discussed from the physical point of view: application to the slow-transfer (instead of the weak coupling) regime and correspondence with the Redfield secular approximation in the Redfield theory of particle/excitation transfer.
