Abstract :
In the preceding article in this issue the classical wormhole physics in Einstein-Kalb-Ramond antisymmetric tensor theory has been reviewed in new perspectives and particularly the “quantum wormhole”, defined as a state represented by a solution to the Wheeler-DeWitt equation satisfying an appropriate wormhole boundary condition, has been discussed. In the present work, we would like to address the same issues in Einstein-Yang-Mills theory which is another classic system known to admit a classical wormhole solution. The motivation for this parallel study of two theories is based on the realization that in both theories the reduction of the gravity-matter system to that of the gravitational degree alone is actually possible off-shell as well as on-shell.
