Abstract
The aim of this research was to determine the effectiveness of time management strategies training on students’ anxiety and their academic performance. This research was an applied and quasi-experimental one, and the statistical society was all the students of third grade of secondary school (in Pakdasht city) in the school year ran from 2011 to 2012. Sampling method was cluster sampling, and the sample comprised 38 students, who were studied in two 19-persons groups (experimental and control groups). The tools used for this research were Spielberger’s State-Trait Anxiety Questionnaire (STAI-1983) and the average scores of students during the school year. The information collected was analyzed, using covariance analysis, and research hypotheses were tested. The results showed that time management training reduce students’ anxiety, and increases students’ academic performance.
