Compositions for matroids with the Fulkerson property Original Research Article

A matroid has the Fulkerson property with respect to a fixed element ē if equality exists between the maximum feasible packing (possibly fractional) of circuits containing ē and the minimum capacity co-circuits containing ē. We study the operations of Δ-sums and Y-sums and give conditions under which these operations preserve the Fulkerson property.
