Prediction of dryout and post-burnout heat transfer with axially non-uniform heat input by means of an annular flow model

A phenomenological model of annular flow post burnout heat transfer has been tested against data from experiments with axial heat flux variations by Becker et al. (Department of Nuclear Reactor Engineering Report KTH-NEL-54, 1992). This article reports results from that exercise and identifies some important variables and areas where improvements to the model are required.
