Abstract :
The Software development like other product and service need a systematic and precise approach for quality improvement. In this paper, a model is presented to evaluate the quality of Software productions for most software developers and managers. The Capability Maturity Model (CMM) has been to provide a framework which is based on actual best practices. A hybrid model of CMM and COBIT is developed for improving the software development quality. CMM does not present the method to evaluate maturity level of processes hence this paper proposed a novel model which map between CMM and COBIT control objectives. In order to show the capabilities of proposed model, the evaluation model was employed in an organization as a case study. According to the results of evaluation, plans has been proposed and discussed to enhance the software production processes.
