Abstract :
This paper proposes a wideband microstrip helical antenna for space applications. The frequency band considered is 8-12 GHz. The return loss, far field radiation and peak gain characteristics of this antenna are presented. The numerical analysis and optimization are performed with the HFSS (commercial software), which is based on the finite element method.
