Approximate method for a two-dimensional parabolic free boundary problem Original Research Article

An approximate method is used to obtain the numerical solution of a two-dimensional parabolic free boundary problem arising from the filtration of a compressible fluid through a porous medium. A numerical scheme is presented and numerical results are given.
