Abstract :
This paper describes a numerical method which can be used to compute the Kelvin impulse of a bubble close to a submerged rigid structure. This is achieved by using a point-source representation of the fluid velocity potential due to the bubble and the boundary integral method to model the velocity potential due to the rigid structure. The whole system is integrated through time using a fourth-order Runge-Kutta method. Results are presented for some typical structures.
