A posteriori error estimates for spectral element solutions to viscoelastic flow problems Original Research Article

In this paper we develop an a posteriori error estimate for viscoelastic flow calculations using spectral elements. The error estimate is compared with the ‘exact’ error obtained by computing the difference between the numerical solution and a reference calculation for the benchmark problem of viscoelastic flow past a rigid sphere in a tube.
