On the duality methods for the contact problem in elasticity Original Research Article

Following the framework and spirit of the comprehensive monograph of Kikuchi and Oden [N. Kikuchi and J.T. Oden, Contact Problems in Elasticity (SIAM, Philadelphia), 1988], some improvements in the proofs of convergence for the penalty method of dual problem and the error estimate for the finite element approximation to the mixed problem are provided.
