Abstract :
Inthestudyofsingle-phasenaturalcirculationloops,flowstabilityhasbeenanimportantsubjectbecauseoftheengineeringneedsforobtainingstableoperatingstate.Asanattemptofproposingmethodforstabilitycontrol,thisarticlestudiedthechangeoftheflowstabilityduetothevariationofthetubewallthermalconductivity.Anonlineardynamicalmodelwasproposedtoformulatethewalleffects.Itissuggestedthatinaloopmadeofbetterthermalconductingmaterial,theflowisalsomorestable.Experimentswereperformedinthreenaturalcirculationloops;theyareinthesameshapeandareatthesamethermalboundaryconditions.AnunstableLorenzflowwasobservedinaglassloop.Inacopperloopandacopper–glassloop,boththeflowswerestableforanyexperimentalcases.Theresultsverifiedqualitativelytheconclusionsdrawnbythemodel.
