Abstract :
Thispaperdealswithanumericalstudyofapebblebedreactor.ThecalculationsareperformedwiththeTrio_U/Pricelescode.TheresultsobtainedwiththeBoussinesqapproximationandthequasi-compressiblemodelarecompared.Itisseenthattheexpandingeffectareimportant.Thequasi-compressiblemodelleadstoalowermaximumvalueforthetemperaturefield.Themaximumpressuredifferenceisdetectedwhenthedensityvariationsaretakenintoaccount.
