Abstract :
Thispaperdescribesatypicalstudyonthermalhydraulicproblemsonhightemperaturereactors.Itdealswiththermalstressesonthecoreoutletregionofanewconceptofhightemperaturereactor.Thesimulationspointoutthethermalfluctuationsinthenominalstateinthefluidandinthesolid.Firstresultsarepresented.Theyillustratethecomplexityofthecalculationduetoparticulargeometryandboundaryconditions.Qualitativeanalysesofthesimulationsreinforcetheformerevaluationsontheoscillatingcharacteroftheflow,theeffectsofmixingofdifferentflows,andtheconsequencesonthethermalloadonthesolidstructures.Inthefuturequantitativeresultscanbeusedassourcetermforstudiesofsolidmechanics.Thesecalculationsneedalsothecomputationoftheglobalbehaviourofthecircuit.SimulationsareperformedwiththeTRIO_U/PRICELEScodeforthe3D-analysisandtheCATHAREcodeforthesystemmodelling.BotharedevelopedbytheCEA.
