Abstract :
Itiscriticalforthenormaloperationofthe10MWhigh-temperaturegas-cooledtestreactor(HTR-10)toaccuratelymonitorthenumberanddirectionofthefuelballspassingthroughthefuelhandlingsystem.Thisistheroleforthefuelballcountingsystem.Duetothecomplexityofthesignalsfromthefuelcounters,thedigitalsignal-processingmethodisrequiredinordertocountthenumberofthefuelballsaccurately,continuously,andautomatically.Thispaperfocusesonthemethodandalgorithmsofthesignalprocessingandimplementationofthesystem,i.e.howtosearchthesignalpeaks,howtodealwiththefloatingandvaryingsignals,howtoeliminatethenoisesandpseudopeaks,howtoanalyzethetimerelationship,andhowtocoordinatethefunctionsofsamplingsignals,countingfuelballs,communicatingwithPLC,displayingallresultsinawindows-basedsystem,etc.
