Abstract :
ThesafetyanalysisofPressurisedWaterReactors(PWR)isbasedontheassessmentoftheconsequencesofahypotheticalLossofCoolantAccident(LOCA).Theaccidentsupposesthatabreakoccursonapipeoftheprimarycircuit.Adepressurisationwavepropagatesfromthebreakthroughtheentireprimarycircuit,thenthecircuitemptiesprogressivelyindiphasicregime.Thisstudyfocusesonthephaseofdepressurisationhappeningduringthefirstmillisecondsfollowingthebreakopening.Thegeometryoftheprimarycircuitissimplifiedandrepresentedwithapipe-modeltobeabletosimulatetheaccidentintheentirecircuit.Thereactorissupposedtoworkinoperatingconditionswhentheaccidenttakesplace.Afterabriefpresentationofthegeometryandthenumericalmodel,thehydraulicconsequencesoftheLOCAareanalysed.
