Abstract :
Thispaperpresentstheresultsofabenchmarkoncreep-fatiguecrackgrowthevaluationforaplatesubjectedtocyclicbendingloadswitha1hdwell.Thesimplifiedcreep-fatiguecrackgrowthevaluationmethodsofJNCinJapanandA16proceduresproposedbyCEAinFrancearepresented.Themethods,basedonthereferencestressapproach,arecomparedeachother.Theyarefoundtodifferintheexpressionusedforthereferencestresssolutionusedtoestimatethecreepstrain.ItisalsopointedoutthatincontrasttotheA16procedures,theJNCmethodtakesheterogeneouscreepstraindistributionintoaccountforsmallscaleyieldingcondition.Thepredictionsobtainedbythemethodsarealsocomparedtotheexperimentaldata.Itisfoundthatthemethodsexhibitconservatismswhicharesignificantlyreducedwhenintegratingthecreepcurvecontinuouslywithoutinitialisationduringtheexperiment[ProceedingofSMiRT14(G13/2),Creep-FatigueCrackGrowthonCT25Specimensin316L(N)stainlesssteelat650°C].
