Abstract :
Apredictivemodeloftheinitialpointofnetvaporgeneration,incipientpointofnetvaporgeneration(IPNVG)forlow-flowsubcooledboilingisdevelopedinthispaper.TheIPNVGestablishedinthismodelmeetsboththethermodynamicandhydrodynamicconditions.ThethermodynamicconditionisdescribedbytheheatbalanceatIPNVG.TheamountofheatforsteamgenerationisequaltothatforbubblecondensationatIPNVG.TheforcebalanceofthedetachedbubblesatIPNVGorthehydrodynamicconditionisestablishedtoprovidethediameterofthedetachedbubblesandtheinterfacialheattransfercoefficientforthecalculationofheattransferatIPNVG.Thismechanismofthepresentmodelmakesitapplicabletolow-flowsubcooledboiling.SeveralcoefficientsinvolvedintheproposedmodelareidentifiedbyFreon-12experimentaldata.Thismodeliscomparedwiththeexperimentaldataobtainedfromdifferentworks.Thedatacovertwoworkingmediaofsteam-waterandFreon-12,twoflowconditionsofnaturalandforcedcirculationsandrelativelywiderangesofpressure,massfluxandheatflux.Thepredictionsofthismodelagreewiththedataquitewell.
