Abstract :
Inthispaper,theeffectofcoatings,whichareformedwithlasercladdingandplasmasprayweldingon1Cr18Ni9Tibasemetalofnuclearvalveseats,onwearresistanceisstudied.A5-kWtransverse-flowingCO2laserisusedforcladdingCobasealloypowderpre-placedonthesubstrate.Comparingwiththeplasmaspraycoatings,thelaser-claddinglayerhavelowerrateofspoiledproductsandhigherrateoffinishedproducts.Theirmicrostructureisextremelyfine.Theyhaveclosetextureandsmall-sizegrain.Theirdilutiondilutedbythecompositionsoftheirbasemetalandhot-effectonbasemetalareless.Thehardness,toughness,andstrengthofthelaser-claddinglayersarehigher.Thegrainsizeis11–12thgradeinthelaser-claddinglayerand9–10thintheplasmaspraylayer.Thewidthofcombinationzonebetweenlaser-claddinglayerandsubstrateis10–45μmbutthatbetweenplasmaspraylayerandsubstrateis120–160μm.Theweartestshowsthatthelaserlayershavehigherpropertyofanti-friction,anti-scour,andhigh-temperatureslidingstrike.Thewearresistanceoflaser-claddinglayerisaboutonetimehigherthanthatofplasmasprayweldinglayer.
