Abstract :
Astressanalysisforahypotheticalnucleargraphitemoderatorbrickispresented,consideringdimensionalandotherpropertychangesduetofastneutronirradiation,toillustratetherelationshipbetweenthechangeinmoderatorbrickboreprofileanddimensionalchangeofthematerial.Theresultsgivethestressesanddeformationsofthebrickduringoperationandatshutdown,withtheeffectofirradiationcreeponthedeformationofthebrickalsoconsidered.Theanalysesprovideinformationusefultoreactordesignersandoperatorsforplanninggraphitemonitoringcampaigns.
