  • Abstract
    AHighTemperatureGas-CooledReactor(HTGR)isparticularlyattractiveduetoitscapabilityofproducinghigh-temperaturehelium-gasanditspossibilitytoexploitinherentsafetycharacteristic.Toachievehightemperaturehelium-gas,reactorinternalsaremadeofgraphiteandheatresistantmaterials,itssurroundingsarecomposedofmetals.ThereactorinternalsoftheHTTRconsistofgraphiteandmetalliccoresupportstructuresandshieldingblocks.ThispaperdescribesthereactorinternaldesignoftheHTTR,especiallythecoresupportgraphitestructures,andtheprogramofanin-serviceinspection.
