Abstract :
TheJapanAtomicEnergyResearchInstitutehasademonstrationtestplanofahydrogenproductionsystembysteamreformingofmethanecouplingwiththeHigh-TemperatureEngineeringTestReactor(HTTR).PriortothecouplingofahydrogenproductionplantwiththeHTTR,simulationtestswithamock-uptestfacilityoftheHTTRhydrogenproductionsystem(HTTR-H2)isunderway.Thetestfacilityisa1/30-scaleoftheHTTR-H2andsimulateskeycomponentsdownstreamfromanintermediateheatexchangeroftheHTTR.Themainobjectiveofthesimulationtestsistheestablishmentanddemonstrationofcontroltechnology,focusingonthemitigationofathermaldisturbancetothereactorbyasteamgenerator(SG)andonthecontrollabilityofthepressuredifferencebetweentheheliumandprocessgasesatthereactiontubeinasteamreformer(SR).ItwasconfirmedthatthefluctuationoftheoutletheliumgastemperatureattheSGandthepressuredifferenceintheSRcanbecontrolledwithintheallowablerangefortheHTTR-H2inthecaseofthesystemcontrollabilitytestforthefluctuationofchemicalreaction.Inaddition,adynamicsimulationcodefortheHTTR-H2wasverifiedwiththeobtainedtestdata.
