ItappearsthatwithintheEuropeanUniversityeducationandtrainingframework,nuclearengineeringispresentlystillsufficientlycovered,althoughsomewhatfragmented.However,ithasbeenobservedthatseveralareasareatriskintheverynearfutureincludingsafetyrelevantfieldssuchasreactorphysicsandnuclearthermal–hydraulics.Furthermore,insomecountriesdeficiencieshavebeenidentifiedinareassuchastheback-endofthenuclearfuelcycle,wastemanagementanddecommissioning.
