Abstract :
Theobjectives,theexperimentalresearchprogrammeandthefirstresultsoftheFRAMEprojectaredescribedinthepaper.Altogether26differentmaterialswereirradiatedinasingleirradiationcapsuleandtheMasterCurvebasedT0shiftsweremeasuredforeachmaterial.Inadditionfourmaterialswerestudiedintheprogrammeextension.Altogetherapproximately700fracturetoughnessspecimensweretestedintheproject.TheaimofFRAMEwastostartsystematicdevelopmentofMasterCurvebasedembrittlementmonitoring.FracturetoughnesstestisclearlysuperiortoCharpy-Vtestbutforhistoricalreasonslargedatabases,onwhichembrittlementtrendcurvescanbebased,existonlyfortheCharpy-Vtest.Thetestdatavalidationprocedureusedintheprojectisdescribedwithsomedetail.Nobiaswasnoticedbetweenthethreemaintestingpartnersinthecreateddata.Firstestimateforamodel,whichdescribesthedependenceofembrittlementonthecopper,phosphorusandnickelcontentsofthematerial,isgiven.
