Abstract :
Inordertodeterminethebleedcapacityofthesafetydepressurizationsystem(SDS)ofAdvancedPowerReactor1400(APR1400)inthecaseoftotallossoffeedwater(TLOFW),weperformedanexperimentalstudyofliquidentrainmentandliquidoff-takefromtheswelledtwo-phasemixturesurfaceinavessel.Atotalof220experimentaldataontheentrainmentandoff-takeareobtainedusingatestvesselwithaheightof2.0mandaninnerdiameterof0.3mandatopbreakwithadiameterof0.05m.Two-phasemixturelevelsaremeasuredbyanultrasonicsensorwithin±1.77%withrespecttothevisualleveldata.Dropletentrainmentdataareobtainedwithandwithoutthetopbreakandarecomparedwiththeexistingpoolentrainmentdata.Thepresentdropletentrainmentdatahavehighervaluesthantheexistingpoolentrainmentdatadueto(a)thepu
