Abstract :
Residualstressesareanimportantfactorinthecomponentintegrityandlifeassessmentofweldedstructures.Inthispaper,asupportvectorregression(SVR)methodispresentedtopredicttheresidualstressfordissimilarmetalweldingaccordingtovariousweldingconditions.DissimilarweldingjointbetweennozzleandpipeisregardedintheanalysessinceithasbeenknowntobehighlysusceptibletoPrimaryWaterStressCorrosionCracking(PWSCC)intheprimarysystemofanuclearpowerplant(NPP).Theresidualstressdistributionsarepredictedalongtwostraightpathsofaweldzone:apipeflowpathontheinnerweldsurfaceandapathconnectingtwocentersoftheinnerandoutersurfacesofaweldzoneofapipe.FourSVRmodelsaredevelopedforfournumericaldatagroupswhicharesplitaccordingtothetwoendsectionconstraintsandthetwopredictionpathsandtheSVRmodelsareoptimizedbyageneticalgorithm.TheSVRmodelsaretrainedbyusingadatasetpreparedfortraining,optimizedbyusinganoptimizationdataset,andverifiedbyusingatestdatasetindependentofthetrainingdataandtheoptimizationdata.ItisknownthattheSVRmodelsaresufficientlyaccuratetobeusedintheintegrityevaluationbypredictingtheresidualstressofdissimilarmetalweldingzones.
