Abstract :
InVVERtypereactors,onlinecoremonitoringisusedfortheearlyindicationofsuchabnormaleventslikefuelassemblymisloading,inadvertentmisalignmentofControlAssemblies,blockageofcoolantchannels.Thepaperisfocusingontheassemblymisloading,whichcannotbeindicatedbyothermeasurements.AMonteCarlomethodwasdevelopedandappliedtoevaluatetheonlinecoremonitoringeffectivenessfortheindicationofthisabnormaleventduringthepowerincreaseinduetime,whentheconsequencesarestillacceptable.Theinvestigationsprovedthesatisfactoryeffectivenessoftheonlinecoremonitoringdownto55%powerevenincasewhen75%ofthetemperaturemeasurementswasonlyavailable.
