Abstract :
Itisknownthatunder-boratedcoolantcanaccumulateintheloopsandthatitcanbetransportedtowardsthereactorcoreduringaloss-of-coolant-accident.Therefore,themixingofweaklyboratedwaterinsidethereactorpressurevesselwasinvestigatedusingtheROCOMtestfacility.Wire-meshsensorsbasedonelectricalconductivitymeasurementareusedtomeasureindetailthespreadingofatracersolutioninthefacility.Themixinginthedowncomerwasobservedwithameasuringgridof64azimuthaland32verticalpositions.Theresultingdistributionoftheboronconcentrationatthecoreinletwasmeasuredwithasensorintegratedintothelowercoresupportplateprovidingonemeasurementpositionattheentryintoeachfuelassembly.
