Abstract :
Inordertoestimatetheseismicbehaviorofdeeplyembeddednuclearpowerbuildings,itisimportanttoaccuratelytransformthesoilimpedanceinthefrequencydomaintotheimpulseresponseinthetimedomain.Althoughthetransformisimportantforsomenuclearbuildingsbecausetheyaredeeplyembeddedinthesoil,therearefewpracticalandaccuratemethodsatpresent.Theauthorhasproposedpracticaltransformmethods.Inthispaper,seismicresponseanalysesconsideringfrequency-dependentsoilimpedanceinthetimedomainareshown.First,theformulationoftheproposedtransformmethodsisdescribed.Then,theresponseanalysisofanuclearreactorbuildingdeeplyembeddedininhomogeneoussoilwasperformedconsideringthefullmatrixsoilimpedanceastheexampleofpracticalproblems.Throughtheseanalyses,thevalidityandefficiencyofthemethodswereconfirmed.
