Abstract :
ThisstudycouplesstructuralanalysesoffourtypicalU.S.nuclearpowerplantcontainmentswithexistingprobabilisticriskassessment(PRA)modelstoassesstheeffectsofdegradation.Thismethodisusedtodeterminetheincreaseintheearlyreleasefrequencies(risk)duetopostulatedcasesofcorrosioninthesteellinersandshells,aswellasotherformsofdegradation.
