Abstract
ThepresentpaperillustratestheuseofartificialneuralnetworksforcomputingthemaximumfuelcladdingtemperaturereachedduringacompletegroupdistributionblockagescenarioinanRBMK-1500nuclearreactor.Theuncertaintiesassociatedtotheneuralpredictionsarequantifiedbyresortingtothebootstraptechnique.Thetrainedneuralnetworksarefurtherusedtoperformasensitivityanalysisaimedatidentifyingtheparameterswhichmostsignificantlyinfluencethemaximumfuelcladdingtemperature.
