Abstract :
Thispaperpresentsatransmissionprobabilitymethod(TPM)tosolvetheneutrontransportequationinthree-dimensionaltriangular-zgeometry.Thesourcewithinthemeshisassumedtobespatiallyuniformandisotropic.Atthemeshsurface,theconstantandthesimplifiedP1approximationareinvokedfortheanisotropicangularfluxdistribution.Basedonthismodel,acodeTPMTDTisencoded.Itwasverifiedbythree3DTakedabenchmarkproblems,inwhichthefirsttwoproblemsareinXYZgeometryandthelastoneisinhexagonal-zgeometry,andanunstructuredgeometryproblem.TheresultsofthepresentmethodagreewellwiththoseofMonte-CarlocalculationmethodandSphericalHarmonics(PN)method.
