Abstract
ThepresentpaperisacontinuationofPartI:“Recalculationofsingle-phaseandtwo-phasepressurelossmeasurements”.Itdealswithrecalculationsofvoiddistributionmeasurementswiththeadvancedtwo-phase,three-fieldsub-channelcodeF-COBRA-TF.Again,experimentaldataofboththeOECD/NRCBFBTbenchmarkandin-housetestsinAREVANPʹsKATHYloopareused.
Theresultsoftherecalculationsofthemeasurementsespeciallydemonstratethecapabilityofathree-fieldcodetopredictvoidfractionswithgoodaccuracy,whereasthecodeisnotbasedonaconventionalvoidcorrelationwhichderivesvoidfractionfromqualityaccordingtoanempiricalfunction.Infact,thecodereliesoninterfacialfrictioncorrelationsforeachflowregime.Thequantitiesvolumefractionofcontinuousliquid,volumefractionofentrainedliquidandvolumefractionofvaporarevariablesinthebasictransportequations,whichitisdirectlysolvedfor.Thereby,theF-COBRA-TFstandardmodels–whichareusuallyappliedforallsortsofcalculations(pressureloss,voiddistribution,lateralmixing,criticalheatflux,etc.)–wereused.AsalreadyinPartIofthepresentpaper,itwasnotnecessarytodospecialcodetuningwithrespecttocertainexperiments.
