  • Abstract
    ThevariabilityofthepropertiesandthecompositionofthecorrosionproductsofthestainlessCrNiandmildsteelsindependenceontheconditions(temperature,acidity,etc.)isofsuchrangethat,inpractice,itisimpossibletodeterminethepropertiesofthecorrosionproductsforanactualcasefromthetheoreticaldataonly.Sincethedecontaminationprocessesforthematerialsofthewater-cooledreactor(WWER-440)secondarycircuitsareintheprogressofdevelopment,itisnecessarytodrawtheneededinformationbythemeasurementandanalysisoftherealspecimens[Cohen,L.,1980.ApplicationofMössbauerSpectroscopy,vol.II.AcademicPress,NY,USA].ThecorrosionlayerswereseparatedbyscrapingtherustoffthesurfaceandthepowdersampleswerestudiedbytransmissionMössbauerspectroscopy.Itshouldbenotedthatthegammaspectroscopicmeasurementsgivenoevidenceofthepresenceoflow-energygammaradiationemittedfromthesamples.Thescrappedspecimenpowderwashomogenised(usingthe50μmsieve)andfixedintothespecialholder.The57CoinRhmatrixwasusedastheradioactiveMössbauersource.MeasuredspectrawerefittedusingprogramNORMOSSITE.
