Abstract :
Hightemperaturecreepflowanddamagepropertiesof9Cr1MoNbVsteelandweldmentareinvestigatedinthepresentstudy.First,anexperimentaldatabaseisbuilttocomparebothcreepflowanddamagepropertiesofthebasemetalandtheweldment.Metallurgicalinvestigationsbeforeandaftercreeptestsrevealedthatthemicrostructuralstateisresponsibleforthelowercreepstrengthintheweldment.Asimpleanalysisbasedonthedescriptionofthesteady-statecreepstageandonuseofempiricallifetimepredictionrelationshipsisperformed.Itallowstopredicttheweldmentcreeplifetimewithoutperforminganextensivenumberofexperiments.
