  • Abstract
    IntheconstructionworkfortheUnitNo.5TurbineBuildingatHamaokaNuclearPowerStation,thecollaborationworkfortheplanningandthecoordinationofthebuildingconstructionandthemachineryinstallationwascarriedoututilizingthree-dimensionalcomputeraideddesign(3DCAD)information.ItwasthefirsttimeinJapanforabuildingconstructorandaplantmanufacturertoworktogether,exchanging3DCADdataofthewholebuildingandadjustingtheconstructionschedule.Itwasmadepossibletoconfirmthecorrespondenceconcerningtheplanningofbothcompaniesfromtheprimarystageoftheprojectbythetotalprocesssimulationandtoadjuston-goingworkpreciselybythepartialprocesssimulation.
