Abstract
About300weldedjointmaterialsthatareusedinnuclearpowerenergyweretestedundermonotonoustensionandlowcycleloadinginKaunasUniversityofTechnologytogetherwithSt.PeterburgCentralResearchInstituteofStructuralMaterialsin1970–2000.Themainmechanical,lowcycleloadingandfracturecharacteristicsofbasemetals,weldmetalsandsomeheat-affectedzonesofweldedjointsmetalsweredeterminedduringtheseexperiments.Analyticaldependencesoflowcyclefatigueparametersonmechanicalcharacteristicsofstructuralmaterialswereproposedonthebasisofalargenumberofexperimentaldata,obtainedbythesamemethodsandtestingequipment.Whenthesedependencesareused,expensivelowcyclefatiguetestsmaybeomittedanditispossibletocomputelowcycleloadingcurvesparametersandlifetimeforstructuralmaterialsaccordingtothemainmechanicalcharacteristicsgivenintechnicalmanuals.DependencesoflowcycleloadingcurvesparametersonmechanicalcharacteristicsforseveralgroupsofstructuralmaterialsusedinRussiannuclearpowerenergyareobtainedbystatisticalmethodsandproposedinthispaper.
