Abstract
In this note, we study the structural classification and structural stability of divergence-free vector fields on compact manifolds M ⊂ S2 (or M ⊂ P2, or M ⊂ K2) with or without boundary. The main motivation is to understand the topological and geometrical structure of the Lagrange dynamics of incompressible fluid flows.
