Abstract :
In a model of cell migration in the presence of chemotaxis and haptotaxis, bimodal density distributions can be induced by noise. We suggest this phenomenon as a possible explanation of the experimentally observed up and down motion of the endothelial cells in tumour-related angiogenesis.
