Explicit closed-form expression for eigenfunction norms Original Research Article

An analytical expression is presented for calculating the eigenfunction norm for linear second-order Sturm-Liouville problems. This formula can be used to explicitly norm eigenfunctions. In addition, the exact solutions to second-order parabolic or hyperbolic problems with partial derivatives can be significantly simplified.
