Time scapes

Motivated by some recent work in physics and astronomy, this paper presents a class of non-linear models for time. These models retain the advantages of the standard linear model in that all of the known properties of time are shared by them. However, their non-linearity enables us to give a new interpretation of some well-known astronomical observations.
