Derivation of an analytic symmetric bi-modal probability density function

Starting with the geometric properties of a particular quartic polynomial, we derive an expression for a symmetric bi-modal probability density function which is analytic everywhere. The function has the property that its value at the origin x=0 is not fixed but depends on the two parameters which characterize the position and height of the two humps.
