Periodic behavior for the parametrically excited Boussinesq equation

The asymptotic perturbation (AP) method is applied to the study of the parametrically excited and weakly damped Boussinesq equation in an infinite wall. Amplitude and phase modulation equations as well as external force-response and frequency-response curves are obtained. The presence of jump phenomena and bifurcations is demonstrated.
